Get to Know Us

At St Andrew’s Hove, you’ll find a vibrant, welcoming community where people of all ages feel at home. Our church is relaxed, lively, and historic — a unique place where centuries of faith meet music, prayer, and meaningful connection.

Every week, our stone floors welcome with the laughter of children, the energy of teens exploring their faith, and the warmth of adults joining in.  Everyone is welcome to grow, connect, and belong in a place that’s gentle, genuine, and full of life.

Wherever you are on your journey — exploring church for the first time, returning after a break, or worshiping with your whole family — you’ll find space to grow and belong at your own pace.

Sundays 8 am - Book of Common Prayer Communion

Our 8:00 am BCP Prayer service is a traditional Anglican Communion service offering a calm and reflective start to Sunday.

Doors open at 7:30 am, and the service lasts about 45 minutes. Using the historic language and structure of the Book of Common Prayer, this spoken service focuses on prayer, scripture, and Holy Communion in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All ages are welcome, though the service is quiet and more contemplative, making it ideal for those who enjoy traditional worship and a slower pace.

8am - Book of Common Prayer

Sundays 10 am - Main Communion Service

Our 10:00 am service is a vibrant Anglican communion worship experience that blends meaningful liturgy with contemporary expression. With a mix of organ, choir, and modern worship band, and a repertoire of hymns and contemporary songs, this 90-minute service is thoughtfully prepared yet relaxed and welcoming.

Children

Families worship together before older children head out for an engaging, age-appropriate time of activities and teaching at The Message, while adults remain in the main church for the sermon. Children then return to share Holy Communion together with their families/carers.  We also have a Creche space at the back of the church for parents/carers and toddlers.

As a medium-sized Anglican church with a great blend of ages and a vibrant youth culture, this service reflects our heart for intergenerational worship and authentic community.
