Joint Youthgroup Lymley Wood Activity Day

We have been offered a free activity day at Lymley Wood (https://www.lymleywood.co.uk/), an opportunity to take part in activities such as low ropes, fire making, archery, bush craft and zip wire.  We have a limited number of places on a first come, first served basis so please click the link to book. We would love your young person to join us. Depending on how many young people are going from St. Andrew's we will either go in separate cars or meet at the church first and travel in shared cars. If you are able to help with lifts please let us know. 

Lunch is provided.  Young people will need to bring a drink and wear suitable clothing such as outdoor clothes and boots or wellies. The event will take place whatever the weather except for high winds. Lymley Wood provides all the activity instructors. Their conditions of attending are; respect for self, respect for others, respect for nature and respect for tools and resources. All young people are expected to behave according to these values.  The activity centre has a screen free rule where all mobile phones are left in a safe place for the duration of the day, with the exception of the youth phone for emergency contact purposes and photographs.  As you would expect from an outdoor centre, there are hazards such as uneven ground and the effects of British weather and Lymley Wood provide a qualified first-aider.
