Youth attend the main services. If they are interested in leading worship, playing in the band, running tech or volunteering in The Message, email office@standrewshove.org.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is there a group for younger children on Sundays?
At St Andrews, we warmly welcome children of all ages and understand that little ones can sometimes be a bit noisy — and that’s okay!
For pre-reception children, we have a dedicated crèche space at the back of the church. Parents and carers are welcome to use this space at any time during the service. It’s set up for quiet play and allows you to continue hearing and participating in the service.
Where are the toilets and changing facilities?
A baby changing table is available in the accessible toilet in the church hall. To get there, please leave through the main church door, turn left, and follow the path to the hall. Feel free to use the facilities whenever needed.
Is there a group for older children?
The Message is designed for children from Reception to Year 7.
Children start off the 10 am service with in the main service with their parent(s) or carer(s). Before the sermon, they will head out to The Message through the main door - escorted by our Message Volunteers.
Younger children (pre-reception) are welcome to join, but one parent or carer needs to stay with them, as space is limited.
We encourage older children to take part fully, as The Message is designed to engage and benefit all primary-aged children.
Do children register for The Message?
We currently don't register children online - if you are new, just come along! We can register you at the door.
