Easter Eve is a time of hushed anticipation. The excitement we feel on Christmas Eve as we wait to celebrate again Jesus' birth is multiplied on Easter Eve as, like the disciples, we gather together at the church for a short service to prepare for the huge celebration of the following morning!
The service begins at the church door with a lit charcoal brazier and the church in darkness. Then candles are lit from the fire and as each person takes their candle into the dark church the light spreads reminding us of Jesus, the light of the world, bringing light, hope and salvation.
Everyone of all ages welcome!
